I also use a trauma-informed lens and borrow techniques/interventions from several therapies including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Brief Psycho-dynamic, Emotions-Focused, Solutions-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Attachment styles.
I have experience and great interest in working with Asian American individuals, other BIPOC communities, grief related to COVID-19, formerly incarcerated/ justice impacted people, LGBTQIA+ folx, college students, and undocumented individuals.
I identify as a Filipino American, 2nd generation immigrant, cis-gender hetero male, and use he/ him/ his for pronouns. I was born and raised in San Diego. I received my BA in Asian American Studies and my MS in Multicultural Community Counseling and Social Justice Education. My background includes education and some community organizing.
