Does your child struggle to make or keep friends?

PEERS is an evidence-based program from UCLA that teaches concrete social skills-and gives parents the tools to support their teen at home.

Who's it for?

  • Students age 8- 11 who want to build stronger friendships

  • Parents who want practical strategies to help their child succeed socially

Over 8 weeks, students will learn how to:

  • Start and maintain conversations

  • Find a source of friends- and enter play

  • Good sportsmanship

  • Handle teasing and rejection

  • Stay in their own space and strategies to handle conflict

At the same time, parents will learn how to:

  • Coach their child in real life social situations

  • Support practice at home and in the community

  • Troubleshoot common challenges

Why PEERS?

  • Evidence-based- backed by over a decade of research worldwide

  • Practical and Realistic- skills taught through role play, group practice, and real world "friendship homework"

  • Family Partnership- kids and parents work in parallel groups for maximum impact
